These are necessary and vital ministries of our parish. Prayerful and serious consideration should be given before a commitment of your time and talent is made. To participate, you must be a practicing and registered Catholic. Training sessions are held at various times during the year.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic assist the Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist in the serving of Holy Communion under both species at Mass. Additionally, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist take communion to Catholics in the retirement centers, nursing homes and private homes.
Lectors are responsible for proclaiming the first and second readings at Mass in addition to reading the General Intercessions (in the absence of a Deacon).
